Vijay, living in a small village in India, needs sandals to keep his feet from becoming infected—again. Yet, the poverty is so great in their little home that his parents cannot afford to buy more than food for their daily needs. Vijay prays often for sandals. He hears his pastor preach about manna from heaven and thinks that perhaps God will answer his prayers by sending sandals from heaven. Read to learn how God worked and whether Vijay ever received his “sandals from heaven.”
Exquisitely illustrated with pencil drawings, this children’s book not only teaches the blessing of trusting in God, but also gives children in North America a glimpse into a culture and lifestyle different than their own.
