Rudolf Egli

Rudolf Egli (1583–c. 1667) was a significant Swiss Brethren leader as the Anabaptists faced persecution in the mid-1600s in Zürich. He objected to the use of coercion and pleaded for freedom of conscience. This book chronicles Egli’s life and gives many details about Zürich Anabaptists in the seventeenth century, including a list of nearly 200 Anabaptists summoned to meet with the authorities in 1636.
